Creepy Crawly Kid-Friendly Snack Recipes
It’s that time of year.
Every nook and cranny of every store around town is stuffed with brightly colored Halloween candy.
It’s the unofficial kick-off to candy season! Eek.
As a recovering sugar addict, this is always a tough time for me. “Just walk away from the mallow pumpkins, Lindsay!” quickly turns into, “Just put down the Reese's trees, Lindsay!”
I have to coach myself through grocery store runs.
Is it just me, or does candy not taste as good as it used to?
But in all seriousness, this is a fun time of year. I love Halloween and I love fall! All the fun costumes and decor to the pumpkins and bright orange and purple lights everywhere.
What I hear most from parents is that the upcoming three months will be a major struggle to keep the kiddos from stuffing their faces with sugar-filled treats ALL THE TIME (in reality, the sugar is probably the last thing we should be worried about since candy is packed with so many other potentially dangerous and unhealthy things!).
No worries! I got you!
I put together this collection of kid-friendly Halloween snack recipes that both you and your little monsters will love! They are on the healthier side, but some still contain familiar ingredients like chocolate to keep kids feeling like they are getting a treat. Plus, you know there’s going to be some googly eyes, too!
