Jicama Lime Bites
Don’t let the name scare you! Jicama is a common ingredient in Mexican cooking. And it’s delish! The texture is similar to the texture of an apple or a raw potato but it tastes sweet. Lime juice and chili powder are perfect companions! If you are taking this snack on the go, store the jicama bites in a glass or plastic container. Then give it a good shake before eating to redistribute the seasoning.
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs jicama
1 lime, cut into segments
1 teaspoon chili powder, or more if desired
Directions:
Peel the jicama and cut it into bite-sized sticks. Arrange sticks on a plate or baking sheet. Sprinkle with lime juice and chili powder. Serve immediately or store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for one day.
